A Bookish Questionnaire

I spotted this on Pinterest and felt like playing ๐Ÿ˜Š

1- Currently reading... Bible // Holy Hygge // What to Expect When You're Expecting // Your Pregnancy Week by Week // Praying Through Your Pregnancy // Blessed by Birth (my book... So fun to re-read after all these years!) // The Golden Goblet // Slow Death by Rubber Duck // Viking Attack ๐Ÿ˜…

2- Last book read... Better Together by Pam Barnhill. This homeschool book really inspired me and we are all loving Morning Time even more now.

3- All-time favorite book/series... I can never pick just one all-time favorite book! Breaking Free (Christian) was truly life changing. But Tuesdays With Morrie (secular, did contain a curse word) was wildly inspiring and the Baxters series has been so fun to get lost in!

4- An author I always recommend... I definitely couldn't recommend one author to all kinds of readers! What do you like to read? ๐Ÿ˜‰

5- A book/series I DNF'd... (DNF stands for did not finish) Gosh, so many! The ones I wished I'd DNFd stand out more than the ones I actually DNFd.

6- A fictional place I'd like to visit... The Shire

7- An OTP I love... (OTP stands for one true pairing, as in your fictional crush) I just like my husband! Maybe I'm boring but I've never had a fictional crush!

8- My fictional boyfriend... Still no

9- Favorite book cover owned... I haven't actually read this book but I have always loved the misty mountain/water cover of Snow Falling on Cedars (secular)! It actually reminds me a lot of the one and only piece of art I have up in my house. (Have you read it? Is it a clean read/will I like it?)

10- Last disappointing read... I was really excited for The Fifth Avenue Story Society but quit early because of the unexpected steaminess/intimacy. I am always sad and disappointed when that shows up in a Christian book.

11- A trope I love to see... Family drama, but specifically from a Christian perspective.

12- A trope I can't stand... Forbidden love, especially as an affair.

13- My favorite MC... (Main character) Hmmmm. I just don't think I have one!

14- Fictional character that reminds me of myself... I just can't think of anyone who really fits me well enough to say! I feel like we're a little like every character, yet completely different. Right?

15- A highly anticipated book series/release... Believe it or not, I don't have any at the moment! ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

16- A novel on my TBR... Forgiving Paris (Christian) is the next fiction I plan to read.

17- My comfort read/character... I like to read nonfiction books that support me in what I'm experiencing as comfort reads.

18- My favorite side character... I don't have one now bust as a kid I was weirdly obsessed with Puddleglum the Marshwiggle from one of the Chronicles of Narnia (Christian)! I remember naming a water balloon after him ๐Ÿ˜‚

19- My favorite book to movie adaptation... I don't know if I have a true favorite but i was just talking about Breakthrough (Christian) earlier so in this moment that feels like it.

20- A villain I love to hate... I particularly love books where the MC's own big lie/sin/fear is their villain!

21- My favorite reading spot... I basically do my morning reading on the couch and my bedtime reading in bed.

22- Latest book haul... Ina May's Guide to Childbirth (secular, read and liked in 2014/2015 but haven't finished yet this time around) // Holy Labor (Christian, haven't read yet) // Expectant (Christian, haven't read yet) // Firstborn (Christian, haven't read yet) // Spiritual Midwifery (secular, haven't read yet)

23- Longest book read... The Bible for sure! I have read it all the way through three times now.

24- Shortest book read... Probably one of the board books I've read to my babies! Or Pignic

25- My bookish goals for the year...

Complete a Bible study

✔ Read 20 books I already owned

Read 50 YA & middle grade novels

Read a marriage book

✔ Read a motherhood book

✔ Read one book set in a state not already on my location list

Thanks so much for your comments! I always read them, don't always have time to answer quickly. Sorry about that!
